Drawing upon years of experience, Black Dog has developed policies that significantly improve the performance and reliability of the FLIPR®'s. Through the employment of semi-annual PM’s (Preventative Maintenance), our clients experience minimal downtime due to instrument problems.

The FLIPR® Preventative Maintenance
(PM) Package

The average time for a FLIPR2® PM ranges between 8 and 12 hours. All sub-systems are checked and their perfomance is validated. The following items are addressed in every PM:

• All laser optics and FLIPR® optics are cleaned and aligned.
• Mechanical parts, such as, belts, pulleys, cables, bearings, etc. are checked for wear, and replaced, if needed.
• The pipettor’s performance and adjustments are checked.

Black Dog also provides service for the FLIPR®’s camera system. We recommend that the FLIPR®’s camera system be serviced annually, thereby ensuring optimal performance and reducing the chance of camera or shutter failure during testing.

As our goal is “Excellence in Customer Service”, we aim to maximize the performance of your FLIPR®, thereby allowing you to maximize “your” performance in the lab.

We are available on a 7/24 schedule, if needed. Your call is immediately registered, and our response is quickly returned. We offer the following services:

With a significant inventory of parts and sub-systems, we can quickly complete any repair to your FLIPR®. As most customers are within driving distance, we will maintain a parts’ inventory with each vehicle. Additionally, other parts can be shipped via next flight or overnight delivery.

Guarantee

As we are confident in our abilities and performance, we offer a satisfaction guarantee to our customers. If we have not exceeded our customer’s expectations, we will be happy to remedy the problem. In addition to servicing FLIPR®s, we also provide these additional options:

Resale

We will purchase FLIPR®s at very reasonable prices for both resale and parts. Additionally, any FLIPR®s purchased from Black Dog come with a one year full service warranty! While FLIPR®s are our main focus, we also service other instrumentation.
