Black Dog Technical Services and Hudson Robotics, Inc. introduce the new "Hit Fetcher" cherry pick system at the Merck Symposium.
The HitFetcher allows you to automatically cherry pick hits for same day re-testing with no additional effort.
The HitFetcher plate stacker system holds 30 original compound plates, 12 disposable tip boxes, and 30 secondary hit plates -
and it is easy to set up. It handles 96- or 384-well plates and tip boxes without physical setup hanges. It is compatible with any
high throughput screening (HTS) platform - or it can be used as a stand-alone pipettor for fluid transfer. It is easy to load and
remove plate stacks, and finished hit plates can be removed at any time. The HitFetcher offers researchers an easy, flexible
liquid-handler setup and method development.

more
Black Dog Technical Services launches a new and innovative Air Cooled Laser solution (patent pending) for FLIPR fluorescence readers at the LRIG
Mid-Atlantic Seminar and Exhibition. Black Dog has developed technology to upgrade the light source of existing FLIPR instruments to an air-cooled laser,
which eliminates the need for a water chiller and hoses. The Air Cooled Laser solution saves energy and helps to cut the FLIPR system footprint in half -
without compromising research results! With the smaller FLIPR® system, researchers can keep their 8-foot FLIPR table and use the open space as
a lab workstation, or upgrade to a smaller table to cut their FLIPR® workstations footprint in half! Tests comparing Water-Cooled and Air-Cooled solutions
show that results are comparable with both systems.
