Black Dog Solutions and Black Dog Technical Services

About Tom Leen

Tom Leen founded Black Dog Technical Services with a mission to provide big pharma customers superior, personalized service with a quick response any time of the day, any day of the week.

Tom began his career working as a member of the design team for Eastman Kodak Company, which produced the Ektachem Clinical Chemistry Analyzer, recognized as the premier clinical chemical instrument in labs throughout the world.  Its record for precision, accuracy, and reliability set the standard for other instruments.

He later became responsible for the testing and evaluation of each instrument prior to its delivery to the customer, and then as a Senior Field Service Engineer for the company's clinical and radiology instruments.

He gained his extensive knowledge of FLIPR systems through his employment with Molecular Devices Corporation.  Tom moved to Astra Zeneca Pharmaceuticals where he managed all fo the instrumentation in its Lead Deiscovery laboratory, including nine FLIPR systems.  Each of these FLIPR systems, some of which were used for high throughput screening (HTS), regularly processed in excess of 200 plates per day.

Tom started Black Dog to provide the customer service he felt was needed with the quality he expected.  He continues to hold himself and his staff to these high standards.
